Three Arrested After Police Chase in Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires, January 9 (NA) – A young man and two minors in a stolen car were arrested in Dock Sud after a chase. During the operation, it was found that all three had criminal records, and one was wanted by the police. An officer from the 4C Neighborhood Police Station was conducting prevention tasks in the La Boca neighborhood when he observed a Volkswagen Bora car stop at the corner of Martín Rodríguez and Ayolas streets, and its three occupants got out and ran, leaving the car's lights on. Faced with this situation, an officer ordered them to stop to be identified, but they continued to flee along Almirante Brown Avenue. The officer then issued an alert, and other officers joined the pursuit, which continued along the pedestrian section of the Nicolás Avellaneda bridge towards the Province. Police sources informed the Argentine News Agency that the three individuals were intercepted by police vehicles in Dock Sud, at the corner of Carlos Pellegrini and Argentino Valle. One of the detainees is 21 years old and has a record for robbery and armed robbery, while the other two are 16 years old. One has a criminal history for robbery and concealment, while the other minor has an arrest warrant from the 4th Guarantees Court of the Avellaneda-Lanus Judicial Department for a robbery case from July 19 of last year. Regarding the car, after several calls to local police stations, it was confirmed that the owner was at that time filing a report at the Avellaneda Police Station 1 of the Buenos Aires Police for armed robbery. The case is being handled by the National Court for Minors 3, headed by Julia Marano Sanchis, with Secretary Dr. Bassani.
